Hello Hello My Pretties!!  It's been way way toooo long since I've sent a blog post, newsletter, or anything else for that matter....  So- Merry Christmas, Happy New Years and let's hope I get more seasonal greetings in before they pass- lol...... 

I've got so much to share today -so I'll do my level best to keep things as short as I can.   There's been a lot of changes to Kaniki's over the years and there are many more to come..  Some I can share- and some I've yet to even find out for myself.  A little elusive- yes.  But we just never know exactly what's to behold- right?

So- first things first...  Me and my family have just plain had a really hard last five or six years..  Real life stuff- as you all know just happens...  Readers digest version of this- is that we've been primary caregivers, parents, grandparents and we've lost so many- so close to our hearts- the very centers of our universe -that well- in the midst of all these years- Family just came first..  It always should- and for us- always did and will always be first...  We're just that kinda folk...  There's been so much we've been through - that I just couldn't share or even know how..  Things so personal- that we just lived through and in the moments we needed to be there..  And we're still doing that... 

Along with that- my husband and I have had some pretty complicated health issues- and are still facing them.. Head on with an attitude- but we're facing them!!  Long story!!  And I'm sure you'll understand if I don't go into details....

So- the reason for that lead on things- is to say- These are the things that have kept me so far from social media- from reaching out and chatting with you all,  from posting and even from creating..  Lucky to get anything creative in- other than filling orders.   And that I did indeed enjoy.

In the meantime- I want you all to know that my daughter and I are working on a whole slew of brand new patterns.. My daughter- aka- "The Haggard Witch"- has been working on her own line of designs.. Simple- fun - And absolutely adorable!!! Can't wait to get the finishes done on them and the templates ready!!! We're on a roll!!!

I also do have plans to start painting on fabric again- when I can..  In that- I am hoping to teach people how to do their own backgrounds on their own linens to spice up these cross stitch and embroidery projects even more..  I've had goals to do this for quite some time- however- just didn't get that far yet...  As I said in my title- New Beginnings..  I've got a LOT of things I want to do..  I'm slowing things down, I'm going to enjoy all the things I love- and that's a LOT!!!  And I'm hoping to share this fresh start with all of you!!!

I want to also THANK YOU ALL- for everything!!!  And I mean EVERYTHING!!!!  You made all that I did over the last 26 years possible..  Every one of you that supported my work, encouraged me, thanked me- gave me the gift of your friendships...  I mean it..  You've made Kaniki's possible- and I hope that you'll keep looking for those things that spark- and come your way!!!  Meaning - Visit often- keep asking- and don't forget to reach out...  I'm not going anywhere- I'm getting back to some of my roots and ways of doing things- and I'll have so much to share..  But i'll also still be that parent- that grandparent- and that person looking out for myself and my family..  Taking time to enjoy each and every moment- as we just never know!!!  Life is so precious- and sweet- even in the hardest of times..  You just have to look.....On that note- Thank you all so much and PLEASE visit me often..  Like I said- we just never know what this year will bring...
